While [livejournal.com profile] wooisme and I were out driving last weekend we stopped at a great big dollar store where I bought a hackey sack. A pride hackey sack no less, in rainbow pattern. Heh. I've spent the last two lunches at work out in the parking lot working on my footbag skills. The bag from this weekend developed a hole the first day (I suppose that might be expected from dollar store stuff) but today I brought my older one that my mother bought for me on a business trip to California years ago. (It seems very appropriate, using a footbag from California. It's just got a good vibe...) It's something I've always wanted to get better at, the Spring weather is making me itch to be outside, and it feels really good to get a half hour or so of excercise at lunch. We've been getting to sleep kind of early the last couple days too. I feel so much better in the morning that way. I think I'm catching up on sleep.

Spring is instilling a sort of energy in me generally too, a desire to be free, happy, spontaneous, and enjoy life more. I've been going about barefoot with my hair loose (I shuck my shoes after getting into the car after work) and generally feeling very hippie as I enjoy the vibrantly wet and alive feeling that the world has these days. This season puts me in a very sixties sort of mindset, and I was strangely happy for a good while after someone flashed me a peace sign as I was driving yesterday. I imagine it was meant in a derogatory sense but I honestly don't care 'cause it made me feel almost giddy. I hope it rains again soon, I want to go dance in it.

The loan for my schooling has become slightly complicated and I may need a co-signer. The people at NH are trying to ascertain why I need a co-signer when my credit report seemed to be well in order, and they're also figuring out whether, if one of my parents needs to co-sign, whether they can accept a faxed signature. But things really are proceeding and I still have some time, so I'm not worrying too much.

Picked up books at Creepy Culty Thrift Store today since all the books are half off on Frdays. Among several other things, I picked up a neat illustrated hardcover Charlotte's Web (minus the dust jacket) and a copy of The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test which I look forward to reading after I finish Lightning. I finished American Gods yesterday and am wasting no time getting started on another. That's not even mentioning my having read most of Sideways Stories from Wayside School last night as I was in a children's book mood. It's so nice, sometimes, to read a kids book like that, to get lost in the simplicity and fun of it.

I have to work tomorrow, but I had a really nice morning today so it all evens out. Actually, the morning probably outweighs tomorrow, or even several tomorrows. My sweetie makes me so content. *hugs* Take care everyone...
