I spent much longer on them yesterday and today than I had expected (I keep forgetting how long editing pictures and writing text and a website for them takes), but I finally have a couple collections of pictures up:
First: these are abandoned and industrial areas around the Renaissance Center and points south.

And now for something completely different. As you may know, Andrea has been talking about, come January, starting Ebay as a full-time gig. I think that would be great for her; hugely less stress, time to herself at home away from having to deal with people at work, and we'd be de-cluttering for our move at the same time. Our major concern though was that, with her self-employed and me working only part-time, we'd be in trouble if she made any significant amount less on ebay than she did at her job, plus we wouldn't have health insurance.
Do you believe in good omens? Literally less than ten minutes after I talked to her about it on the phone today, I got a call from Techteam Global. They made me an offer for full-time employment. I jumped on it. They'll let me know soon what shift I'll be working and what the start date for my benefits is as soon as they've working it out. I don't think I can express the feelings I have: I've been wishing to be in a better position to take care of Andrea since I moved out here. Now I finally am. I'll even get to go see a doctor and/or a dentist for the first time in... wow. At
least four years or so. I am, in a word, excited.
Even more good things are happening.
tincrash, ostensibly inspired by earlier writing of mine in this space (my writing? Inspirational? Who'd have thought?), drew a wonderful picture of
wooisme and myself snuggled in bed, me reading a book as I stroke her fur with one paw. I don't know how to react. I am indescribably flattered; no one has ever spontaneously produced art of my fursona before, and seeing Moira and myself together like that is so beautiful. Thank you Tin! I need to add you to my IM list... Here's the image. (You don't mind me linking to it, do you Tin?)
