Nov. 7th, 2006 09:53 amI'm excited about voting tonight. It's going to be in a beautiful building called the Southport Beachhouse that I tried off and on to sneak into while before moving to Michigan. You wouldn't guess it from the outside, but the interior is in wonderfully preserverd art deco style and I've been hoping I'd get a chance to show it to Andrea next time we voted.
My brain has been so busy lately. Hopefully I'll have a better chance to process things over my vacation. It's not going to be quiet either though. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday; my first in about four or five years, so I'm a bit nervous. Also have a dental appointment on Wednesday; again, my first in about four or five years, so I'm nervous. I also have to find time to get a new pair of glasses since mine are still being held together by super glue. Oh, did I mention that I'm leaving to meet my mate at Windycon on Friday and not getting back to Kenosha 'till Sunday night, and that the both of us are going down to Midwest Furfest on Thursday night of next week and not getting back until Sunday night? *woofs*
I fully intend to get the entire house, barring basement and probably library, clean during the time that I do have. I'm also going to be composing a list of maintenance responsibilities for my mate's review so things will stay that way. When the den is clean, I feel like I can do other things in the evening. Spending two hours a day on the road to my job makes me very conscious of the preciousness of time.
posicat and
tybis assisted in dismantling some of my laptops over the weekend and left me with some good ideas. I think I'm up to swapping out the screen on Moira's, and I'm thinking that I can probably mount a laptop motherboard in one of my wall-mount touchscreen cases to make usable computer to mount in the basement or somewhere. I have much tech to play with. Still haven't organized the rest of them to see what I can sell, but that's coming.
And now I should go to my company's open enrollment benefits meeting. 'Till later.
