Nov. 24th, 2006 07:41 amThis Thanksgiving, I am grateful for having parents who don't even look at me funny when I tell them that, early on Saturday, I'm getting together with a friend for mutual painting of toenails while watching a movie. Not to mention the fact that they were not at all phased by Andrea telling them about the attention I was getting at MFF. I honestly could not ask for better parents than the ones that I have. Thank you
farm_cat and
barton_fender. *bounce*
I'm grateful for my whole family too; they were the reason I didn't have time to write an 'I'm grateful' post yesterday since most of Thursday was spent at my aunt and uncle's and grandma and grandpa's combined dwelling partaking of much yumminess.
I am grateful beyond words' ability to express for my mate who is such an integral part of my existence. Thank you,
wooisme, for your three and three-quarter years of love, magic, and unending patience with your occasionally clueless geek-boy.
I'm so very grateful for all my friends, old and new. I hope that I will never take any of them for granted; I can still clearly remember a time when I never thought I would have them, or anyone.
I'm grateful to have my animals; Kuma, Laszlo, anda mildly retarded tribble Sabrina.
I'm grateful to have a job that I don't hate and which keeps sending hardware home with me. My UPS (which I think cost about $1100 new, though all my searches haven't turned up quite the right model and manual yet) is up and running thanks to advice from
renniecub. (who, along with
insegnante, happily fall into the 'new friends' category).
I have some truly wonderful, beautiful, and special people in my life and consider myself very blessed by that indeed. Evyerything else, in the end, is superfluous. I thank all of you for being there; you know who you are.
