Feb. 12th, 2007 03:41 pmI have had all sorts of fun lately spending time with
posicat, and it's really great to see
serinthia every day too. At the same time, I've felt a bit disconnected from people of late. Especially in comparison to my lovely mate who talks with a number of people online with some regularity, I seem to have a pretty small social group. I keep feeling like if I could force myself to get online and chat with people, I would do much better at getting to know all the local furs and fans and other interesting people as everyone else seems to be so good at doing. It seems like IM is the basic communication method for most people. I wonder too if it has something to do with living far enough away from most of the people I know who aren't family that I don't get the chance to see them in person much.
I'm curious; I'd love if my readership would respond and tell me whether, a: whether I seem standoffish or if I fade from memory because I'm not on IM, and b: what kind of percentage of your interaction with other people is IM based and how important that form of communication is to you.
Humour an inquisitive dog?
