Lazslo, our elderly black tomcat has a wierdly distended belly. He's always been a very skinny kitty, but I noticed on Monday that he's looking oddly chubby. Last night, as [livejournal.com profile] posicat, [livejournal.com profile] wooisme, and I sat and watched an episode of House over some frozen pizza and blue cheese crumbles, we realized that he was still looking pretty big. Possibly bigger then he had before.

Andrea called the vet today and is probably going to leave work early to get him to the vet. I hope it's not anything serious. He's not in any pain, seems to be eating and drinking, and isn't having trouble getting around; he's just... suddenly fat. And it doesn't feel fat like our other cat, Sabrina does. He's not floppy and soft. His tummy is kind of firm. Not rock hard, but not soft like 'Brina. *sighs*

I worry 'bout my kitties.

Well, it seems that Lazso could have a number of things, none of them not serious. But he's at least doing ok right now. We'll know more in a few days after getting test results.

*contented sigh*

'Nuff said.

I have a Compaq Proliant ML570 server. It has Quad Pentium III Xeon processers at, like 800MHZ. It's got about 2GB of RAM. It's got three redundant power supplies. It's got a bunch of hard drives; its full complement of 12. Most of them are 36.4GB, 10000 RPM SCSIs. It's pretty big; think mini-fridge sized. It's also relatively loud when powered on. There are a lot of fans in there. It has a fresh install of Windows Advanced Server 2000.

I do not need this server. It is taking up a lot of room in my house. I would like to sell it. If you are interested, please make me an offer. If you know anyone who you think might be interested, please let them know. I'm not looking for a lot for it; I know it's comparatively obsolete. However, it will also make a really good database server for applications that don't need top-of-the-line processing power. I'm willing to deliver to reasonable distances away.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Also for sale is an HP Procurve rack mount 10/100 ethernet switch with, if memory serves, forty ports in it in the form of five eight port cards with room for three more cards. It's a managed switch that can be divided into VLANs and all of that fun stuff. It has a fault light on it, but I think it's simply a bad fan. If anyone is interested let me know. I may actually to go Ebay with that since it's not too big to ship. The server just isn't worth the shipping.

The dead camera and the Philips Speechmike I have up on Ebay both have bids. And there was much rejoicing.
