Dec. 15th, 2007 06:59 pmI just left the following in Mr. Jonathan Coulton's blog:
I have to admit, I'm another of those folks who'd never heard of you until having finished Portal. Now that Still Alive is embedded firmly in my cerebrum and I'm replaying it continuously as I work on things around the house, I decided I had to get online and look up guitar tabs for it.
Now, I have a nifty classical acoustic that I picked up a a thrift store a year or two ago, but I haven't done much with it in a long time. I've had trouble with my left wrist (I broke it years ago and do too much typing at my day job) and haven't been able to practice with it. Someone suggested restringing the guitar backwards and playing left handed, and it seemed like a interesting idea, but I hadn't quite made it 'round to it yet.
For what it's worth to you ('cause I certainly mean it as a compliment), I think that your song here has actually inspired me to find the time over my vacation next week to pick up the guitar again and try to elicit something resembling music from it. Thanks!

Oops; I guess I have heard of him before; I realized after poking through his website that
polymorphism told me about him when she was up in Kenosha at one point because I asked about the name of
anarchist_nomad's flat in Oxford which is named after one of his songs. Huh; small world!
