I spent this morning and afternoon installing those radios in the Neon. I spliced into the radio power lines again and routed the power cables under the center console and out a hole I drilled in the back. The antennas lines are routed in through the trunk where they're bundled and tied up behind the CD changer. It all looks pretty decent.

Unfortunately, the CB radio will not power on. It was working just fine until I plugged the handset in and moved the passenger chair-back across it. The radio was too close, and the chair-back seems to have pushed against the handset connector and jarred something inside. I've still got voltage to the radio, but it won't power on. The multiband radio, at least, does work. Maybe I can find a replacement CB unit somewhere.

And now, it is mysteriously working again as of this Monday morning. Odd.

No wonder the TC1100 I put on Ebay months ago went for $800. It and the TC1000 are the only computers of their kind ever made!

So they have a cult following, do they? I can totally see the appeal. They have a kind of sexy feeling like the Kinesis keyboard that I have. And, like my Kinesis, which appeared in Men In Black, the TC1100 is a star in its own right, with appearances in Alien Vs. Predator, The Island, and episodes of House. It's a beautiful design and I adore it! It's futuristic, original, and practical. It just makes you feel cool to own one.

So of course it was discontinued. Ah well.

Since mine finally made it back to me from Poland a month or two ago, I'm getting it up on Ebay now. I actually would really like to keep it, but the money will do a lot more for me than feeling cool will, and I can mange with Rosetta Stone on my laptop.

I was worried that I wouldn't get as much for it, it now being an even older machine than when I sold it in the Spring. But if it's that popular a computer, maybe it will get as much, or even more! Wish me luck.

Season four of House seemed a little soft in the middle to me. I was telling Moira that, while the first few seasons still had house being a dick and the ensuing hilarity, there was more drama. His relationship with Cuddy in particular seemed less over the top and less unbelievable, and more suspenseful. I felt like it had lost a little bit of credibility with some of the really outlandish stuff he did in this last season we just watched.

And then we got to the final two episodes. I really did not expect something so poignantly hard to watch. There were tears. It was terribly beautiful. I really want to see the continuation of these themes into season five. No, I haven't seen any of it yet; I see all of my TV second-hand.
