*sighs* Headache after work means no looking at the car. Instead, I snuggled on the couch with a raccoon and watched Real Genius for the first time ever in widescreen. That was kind of neat, and I paused the movie once to go 'Oh look! That composition just wouldn't work in pan-n-scan! That's so cool!'
Points of note:
- Jordan has a Spacewarp marble roller coaster set up in her room. You can see it in one scene particularly if you look carefully. I can't count the number of times I've seen this movie, but now that I've caught the Spacewarp bug, I just noticed it! Unfortunately, it's not running.
- I am now planning to buy one of the shirts that Val Kilmer wears in the movie. Moira found a site that sells them. I just have to find a little extra money to splurge on a shirt. Maybe after we catch up from Christmas stuff.
- When I was a little kid, I always thought that the production company credited at the beginning of the movie was 'Brain Grazer Productions'. Unfortunately, it's actually 'Brian Grazer Productions'. I prefer my original reading.
- When I used to watch this movie with my dad as a little kid, I wanted to be a scientist when I grew up. I'm sometimes, maybe even often, more than a little disappointed in myself that I'm not. When I was old enough, somewhere in late elementary school probably, to realize that I wasn't ever going to be genius material, it made me sad. I guess it still does.
And before I go off to bed, I just have to say that I'm really excited because I finally took a picture that made Moira say 'Oh wow!' That's not easy to do!
I'll be posting said picture, and others in the set, tomorrow, or during the break. And one of these days I'll get to my Michigan pictures too. One of these days...
But not tomorrow. Because tomorrow I'm going to a Posicat's place to play India Rails with he and Mallory. I've played a
lot of board games lately! It's been wonderful!
