Jan. 27th, 2009 04:39 pmLooks like a phone from Sprint to replace mine (that is now suffering from a broken outer display, an intermittently functioning inner display, a non-functioning microphone, and being lost) will be at least $100. Until June comes around, at which point I qualify for a $150 discount on a replacement phone. (And I have been assured that my now discontinued, 500 anytime-minute, unlimited data, unlimited text, $30/month plan will continue with it, though I plan to get that in writing before doing a plan renewal.)
So I'm going to buy a phone on Ebay to replace mine. Hope I get a good one!
And until then, I'm sort of borrowing a cell phone that is on a company plan that came back from an employee who has left us for greener pastures. I told my manager I was going to borrow it to play with email/calendar synch. About seven or eight months ago. But I still have it, and it's still working, so I don't think anybody's going to notice or care about me using it.
I have an RMA number for the hard drive that failed on me. Yay. I have info about getting my transcript from UW-Parkside too, so I'm going to pursue that this week. I need to call around more and find out if I have any holds on my records or anything before I send them the check. I also need to find out what my student ID number is, 'cause I don't have a clue, and the recording says they need it for a transcript request.
And once I have that, I'm going to call around to online degree programs to figure out how much will transfer. I want to start moving toward a different career.
And that's about it for fluffy stuff. I wanna gohome to my parents' house now so I can try to get my dad's DVD recorder set up for the live MSTing of Overcoming Fear tomorrow night, which I think Moiracoon and I will be watching with my parents. If there was more room at the house, I'd ask my parents about inviting more people to join us, but I'm not sure that that would work, unfortunately.
Oh, and I need to get thatpirate offsite archival backup copy of a certain game from my brother too...
