I wrote a longer entry on my laptop, but I can't get a connection to post it. It, and any further lengthy reflections on my trip, will probably wait 'till I get where I'm going to go public.

In the meantime, I just thought I'd note that I'm sitting in the lounge car at the station in Pittsburgh, waiting to get moving. I set my phone alarm to get up early for the dawn, but I've been sleeping fitfully anyway.

Savant and Ankh: I don't think I have your phone number! Would you email it to me?

Alright! We are two hors and ten minutes behind, in total, leaving Pittsburgh. We'll probably lose more time because we are down one locomotive and we can't keep speed on the up grades through the mountains.

I am sitting in the diner waiting for my breakfast as hints of dawn roll by outside my window. I'm having a wonderful time.
