stormdog: (sleep)
More from work. I got copied on an email from my manager explaining that people do not have to order their own replacement computers and that we'd do it instead. Neither I, nor any of the people in the office I work in, were aware of this. But yes, apparently, if the computer is out of warranty and having problems, we are supposed to order a replacement system for them against our own budget.

I swear. I was never told this. Ever since the merge, I have been telling people that, if their laptop is dead or otherwise unfixable, they need to go through the procurement process to order another one. I've never had a problem doing that. But lately, as I said, people have been telling me they need to get authorization from someone, and now I find out we're supposed to be doing the whole thing. How long has that been going on? Why didn't anyone tell me (us?) we've been doing it wrong? I hate this place.

More on what I've found about electrical apprenticeships later today.

An oldie (but goodie) since life has been too full for me to get anything (relatively) new posted.

House on the Rock Unicorn
Carousel Creatures 7

One of the many creatures on the carousel at the House on the Rock. There are hundreds of creatures on the carousel, and not a single horse.

And this is why I don't wear clothing with scripting in Asian languages like Japanese. I have no idea what they say and I'd probably end up wearing something like this.
