Jan. 28th, 2010 01:41 pmIt's really hard to concentrate on much of anything job related these days, though I did manage to close a bunch of tickets yesterday. Today, I forgot that I was on queue this morning so I didn't grab any tickets at the time. I did get some after the fact though so I don't look like a total slacker. Right now I'm trying to figure out why external emails to a particular inbox are boucning, and why, when I sent emails to this inbox to @domainA addresses, they get translated to @domainB addresses and bounce. I'm also going to find boxes here and pack up some hard drives and a couple of Leisure Suit Larry games that sold on Ebay.
I think I'm going to start putting all the furniture that's coming with us together in the garage somewhere. I have an empty bookcase, a little rolling cart, and four CD racks. I was thinking the porch, but we haven't cleared off the porch enough yet.
A colleague at work suggested that I put all my dead laptops up on Ebay one at a time rather than in lots of the same kind. He's convinced I'll make more money that way. For my part, it would be much easier to ship them; they could just go in the large-size flat-rate UPS Priority boxes with a little padding and I'll know exactly how to pack them and how much to charge for shipping. I think I'll put a couple up today. I still have to find boxes for the Cisco equipment. Anybody want to buy a couple of serious routers?

Abandoned Barn Roof - Libertyville, IL
This picture is from the first set I shot with my brand new (to me) Canon 20D camera that I'd just bought on Ebay in the Spring of 2007.
Unfortunately, most of the pictures of this building aren't that interesting (through no fault of the structure itself), and it's probably long since been torn down, as had all the other old farm buildings near that area even before I stopped working there. Everything was getting turned into office parks.
I wish I'd framed this just a little bit differently so that there was an equal amount of old wood under the shingles and blue sky above. It's also just a touch overexposed, maybe half a stop, and the highlights on a few shingles are nearly blown out. I do really like the texture here though.
