May. 3rd, 2010 03:58 pmIrony of ironies, I find myself in need of an old piece of computer hardware.
I have two USB to IDE adapters. I want to use them to wipe and resell a stack of laptop hard drives I have. (Tangentially, anyone intersted in buying some 60GB to 80GB laptop drives?) However, I can't find the power supplies that came with said adapters. I want an old style AT power supply from a computer that I can just turn on and plug the hard drives into. These would probably be in computers from before...oh, maybe Pentium Classic era?
I could convert an ATX power supply to do it (as shown here in a nifty tutorial), but I'd rather have something that will work as is.
Do any of you have something like that lying around? Thanks!
