Jul. 2nd, 2010 08:45 amI had sushi with Moira at Shogun in Racine.
I am not a sushi person. I don't care for cold meat, and I don't like things like cucumbers and avocado. But I wanted to take Moira out for food somewhere nicer than we usually go and somewhere where she could get some sushi. I looked through the options and got some Philadelphia Rolls. As it turns out, Shogun's Philadelphia rolls do not have cucumber, and I loved them. But then I ate some of Moira's stuff. She'd gotten things that had cucumber and fish eggs, among other ingredients. And I liked them! It took some getting used to, and I don't think I can large piles of them in a go, but they were good. I tried some of a third kind, these with avocado, and I wasn't quite ready for that. But when she got a fourth kind that had cucumber in them, I again ate and enjoyed them. How about that? I'm pretty proud of myself.
Tonight, after work, I'm driving down to Posi's place for an evening of movies on laserdisc! My Saturday, at this point, is still free as Devin is not free to do an urbex trip with. Does anybody want to come with me to the south side of Chicago for photography at an abandoned power plant?
You know that my primary criteria for a car are tiny and weird-looking, right? I found am amazing car for myself! I just don't know how to get one in the states. In all seriousness, I would drive the hell out of this car. The Reliant Robin. (They are not nearly so easy to tip over as the car's appearance on Top Gear [links to an episode from a friend are how I learned of them] would have you believe.)
