My university library is going to deaccession and destroy a lot, and I mean a lot, of old hardcover US Census volumes because the information is all available online. I have some trouble going along the shelves and putting books into the big recycling bins, regardless of how much sense it makes.

So, if you or someone you know has a use for a bunch of these old volumes, such as cut paper art, or book safes, or whatever, let me know and I'll grab some for you. These go back for nearly a hundred years.

Since getting back from Chicago yesterday, I've been really stressed about a bunch of stuff. School and home and time-management. I may be kind of unsocial this week.

On the plus side, my dad's home from the hospital, and that is awesome. He'll be back regularly for more treatment for a while, but he's home.
