Jul. 12th, 2013 10:59 pmMy ride to Evanston was three hours and 2 minutes today, about 40 minutes shorter than last time. Instead of taking the bike path from Kenosha, I followed Sheridan Road down to the Great Lakes naval base, then picked up the trail from there after skipping most of the gravel section and the up-and-down road crossings. The route is 40.16 miles according to the bike computer, and I'll probably use it next time too, with the exception of the short stretch of Green Bay Road I was on in Evanston that's full of big cracks and potholes.

danaeris was waiting for me with a warm reception and a cold glass of Crystal Light. Nom! I followed that up with a walk to Five Guys for the burger and fries I'd been craving since biking past a wonderful-smelling restaurant in Highland Park or somewhere.
The picture of the day. Two half-asleep people make for goofy photos.

I'll catch up more here later; I'm pretty tired. G'night!
