Sep. 24th, 2013 11:51 amUnlike my sweetie
lisagems, I had a good experience with the CTA today. After not hearing for a week or so, I poked them again. They wrote me back in response to my note about the photophobic employee I encountered a couple weeks ago.
From CTA:
Good morning. Our apologies for the delay in responding.
"Thank you for your email and your comments. We have forwarded the information to our rail-operations staff and asked them to remind our Customer Service Assistants about CTA's policy regarding photography at stations. As you noted, CTA's policy regarding both personal and commercial photography is explained on our website, and the policy is covered in employee training.
We apologize for your experience, and appreciate your bringing the matter to our attention.
CTA Media Relations"
My response:
"Thanks very much for your reply; I appreciate your confirmation and reinforcement of your policy. I think it's great that the CTA has such a clearly stated policy on these things, that you address it in training, and that you stand by it!
Thanks again,"
I'm pretty satisfied with that.

What follows is potentially more about my teeth than you really care about.
My teeth are better this morning, but still painful. It's weird; it's not just in one spot. It's upper molars on each side of my upper jaw. I'm wondering if it has something to do with grinding my teeth while I sleep, which I've suspected myself of for a while. Yet this round started in the middle of the day yesterday while eating.
I've also noticed that this kind of gum pain is often associated with eating a meat, usually beef or something tough. Maybe it's a texture issue. Yesterday, though, it was leftover sesame chicken, so I don't think that's it. Swishing water around my mouth seems to help, and I've been doing that off and on since it started. Tim and I are going to get soup for lunch today since I'm in enough discomfort to not want to eat much solid food. I was going to bike today but was feeling kind of crummy this morning. I napped for another 45 minutes and drove. So we're driving to The Soup Depot (http://thesoupdepot.com/html/daily_soup_menu.html) for lunch.
