Dec. 29th, 2013 12:09 pmI was grumpy and in a bad mood for most of yesterday. I didn't want my mind to be where it was, but it was very difficult to get out. In the late afternoon, my dad and I went to Petco so I could buy a bed for our dog. To keep the dog off the new-to-us couch, I suggested buying a dog bed to put out there next to it. My mother was skeptical, so I offered to buy it, and she could pay me back if it worked.
At Petco, it turned out, it was puppy play day. There was only one puppy there, and it was a young German Shepherd Dog. I'm not really exaggerating when I say that just looking at that Shepherd puppy totally changed me mood. Whatever pathway all my neurons were stuck running in, PUPPY! made them totally jump the banks and find a new course.
If I can figure out how to do that with less external stimulus and more internal, I'll be doing pretty well!
