Feb. 17th, 2016 12:35 amWhat a drive. Between freezing rain when I left and snow storms in New York and Pennsylvania, it was slow going. It didn't help that the roads to the Kinzua bridge were narrow, snow-covered tracks through mountainous terrain. I slid off the road and spent over an hour getting out. I'll write more about it later. I lost about five hours getting to the bridge. It was worth every second. I stood and looked into the valley and saw another age.
Now, I'm sitting on the side of the highway, 200 miles out of Chicago in a white-out blizzard I don't feel safe to drive in. Looks like it might be clearing up a bit so hopefully I'll be on my way soon. More later....
