Update: the bedroom is about sixty to seventy percent done, and much, much laundry was cycled through the big white machines. I should be able to finish that room up tomorrow morning, apart from the closets and the top of Andrea's dresser, which I'm going to leave alone. I need to sort through my mounds of clothes and decide what I don't need anymore. I keep my costumery, garb, and work clothes hung in my clost, and I figure if I have more t-shirts than will fit in a drawer of my dresser, I have too many. I have Gen-Con volunteer shirts dating back ten years or so, not to mention a bunch of shirts from my involvement with The Lakeside Players that have paint stains and holes. I probably don't need to hang on to those anymore.
I'm going to start on the computer room tonight while my mate sleeps. I have lots of tech to organize and lots of stuff to toss. My eSata capable PCI card is due to arrive on Wednesday, so I may be able to get up early enough on Thursday to work on my server before my dentist appointment and drive out to pick up
wooisme.
Only one more episode left to go in Firefly's first and only season. My mate and I spent the evening hours of yesterday and today going through them. After finishing up the last episode and the movie, we'll probably go back to Babylon 5, which we started back in Michigan and never got all the way through. That will be fun. I don't quite understand how a show as good as Firefly can get cancelled, though I guess I can say that about a lot of good TV. That's probably why I never watch it, I suppose. Someone please tell me that there's some really good Firefly fanfic out there somewhere that continues on where the show left off. I know the movie is supposed to tie a number of things up too, but I can't help but think that it's going to feel tragically rushed.
I found out that, as far as glasses go, I have to pay out of pocket (Have I mentioned that I hate that phrase? I haven't kept money in my pocket for years.) and then get reimbursed under my current plan. Since I have no good idea how long that may take, I may go to Seven Mile Fair for the exam and glasses then, since they do it dirt-cheap. I can't get there until weekend after next, but my brain seems to have at least adjusted enough to my current pair that I'm not getting nasty headaches as quickly.
I intend to get up early again tomorrow, spend most of the day cleaning up, and possibly kidnap my brother for the Mexican lunch buffet up by
todd_riverden and
serinthia's place that I've so far been prevented from checking out due to work scheduling. I've been dying to see what it's like. I'd go for pizza buffet instead, but the Pizza Hut is long gone, and we don't have a Cici's here yet; alas.
Posi, Serinthia, Todd; not sure how much of what I need to get done I'm going to get accomplished, but if we do get together this week, it would have to be tomorrow. Lemme see how much stuff I get done and we'll see what's going on then?
