stormdogNPR today was playing an interview with Albie Sacks, a one-time South African freedom fighter who now sits on the Constitutional Court there. He has one of the most beautiful accents I've ever heard. It's a combination of British and African, and it was so enthralling that it was nearly enough to distract me from driving. His was a really fascinating story too. Though white, he was a freedom fighter against the minority government and lost an arm and an eye in a car-bombing intended to kill him. His memories of the history of South Africa are really worthwhile listening. I wish I knew more about world politics and history. I was just never interested while I was in school. I was much more into science, and computers. I was into a little history and politics too, but they were the history and politics of entirely fictional worlds....

posicat's place, eating left overs from Saturday's dinner and watching three episodes of Heroes. God/dess but we have a lot of food left over still. That's okay; I'm sure my family will put away most of it when we have dinner with the tomorrow night.
I may have mentioned it in the past, but I must once again point out how bogglingly cute Masi Oka is as Hiro Nakamura. *squeeeee* Thanks for having us over Posi! Sooner or later we'll be caught up on Heroes again. Maybe I can finally find sources for the rest of the season three House episodes and we can catch up on those over here too.
