Aug. 2nd, 2007 08:56 amWhile in a thrift store in Ohio (yes, we are incorrigable), Andrea and I found a big Honeywell HEPA air filter that I grabbed. I've been having trouble with pet dander and such at home and some of our friends have allergy problems, so I thought it was worth a try. I've been really impressed by it. I've let it run overnight a couple times in various rooms and I can really tell the difference in quality of air. Definitely a good buy at $20. Good thing the filters last one to three years; they cost about $50 online. There are ones that you supposedly never have to replace (just vacuum periodically) for more too.
I've been asked to go by the theatre on Tuesday of next week to take some pictures of the lobby, auditorium, and other places that may go on the theatre website. I'm looking forward to another new experience in photography, and it will be nice to be credited as photographer on a website for a public organization like that.
I've been asked to help move
tybis on Thursday of next week. Considering I was thinking about asking for those days off anyway, that might be a possibility. Then on Friday I can do more work in the yard and around the house. Of course, it remains to be seen whether I'll get those days off. We shall see. I'll at least have some time tonight to work on things at home; I'm just not up to being around as many people I don't know as are at the Milwaukee furry coffee meets, and they're so far to drive to...
Would you like to stop by with your computer tonight
moryssa? I can take a look at it between other things.
This weekend is the trip to the Dells and Noah's Ark. I'll probably have to use some of tonight and pack for that. Fortunately I did a bunch of laundry and Andrea just folded it, so that won't be too terribly much effort.
The weekend after that (I'm mentioning these here almost as an excuse to put them all into one place so I can update Google calendar when I have time) is a family get-together on Saturday, and the weekend after that is our trip to Missesota. I must remember to buy a lens cover for my camera before all of this. I couldn't find it before going to Ohio and I don't like traveling with it without one.
The scale says I'm at 230 exactly this morning. That's neat; ten pounds less then the 240 I've been hovering around for years. I'm not really changing what I'm eating (though I know I ought to, it can be hard for me), just keeping track of how much of it there is.
I should see if I can get my truck looked at before driving to DeKalb. It's running a little rough when it starts up and it still has that shudder at highway speeds. I should call Hessefort today and make an appointment, which means I should use my lunch hour (on the off-chance that I have time for a lunch hour) to catch up on my bank account and make sure I have money for the car doctor. If Posi and I both take our vehicles with us, we'll not only have plenty of cargo space, but we can talk on the CB on the way out there. Caravan! *giggles*
