Sep. 14th, 2007 11:24 pmDoes anybody have a copy of Tunebite, or something else that will work around DRM controlled Windows Media files? I need to reinstall Windows on my desktop. I have a file that is license protected. I've backed up the licenses, but importing them on a new machine doesn't work. The name and password I originally used to get the licenses are time-bombed and don't work anymore. I've spent the last four hours trying to work around it. I was finally ready to buy a copy of Tunebite, just 'cause it seems like something useful to have, and I realized I don't have my 'Verified by Visa' password and the bank is closed. *grumps*
You know what? I'd so buy more digital content if it wasn't protected by these draconian DRM measures. I paid for this media, and now I can't do anything with it. I don't want to give it away to anybody. I just want to be able to use it on my rebuilt computer. The fact that I can't really discourages me from buying more licensed content.
And now I have to get to bed. I'm up way later than I intended to be.
