Jan. 5th, 2009 10:27 amBreak is over. I did very little other than play board games and some Civilization 4. It was good.
On the advice of
uberhill, I'm going to the Unitarian Universalist church in Kenosha for zen meditation tomorrow, and quite likely most Tuesdays. If anyone wants to come with, you'd be welcome to join me. I've gone a couple times with
farm_cat and found it really calming. Though I stopped going after she did, I've kept thinking about it, and I think doing more of it will be good for me.
New Year's Eve was spent with my parents and their friends, and my brother and some of his playing the aforementioned Civilization 4. We had a five person game that went to two-thirty in the morning, followed by a three person game (after my brother and co. and I moved to my parents house) that went 'till ten thirty the next day. That was awesome. And yesterday, I played with my parents for a few hours too.
Other than that, life continues much as it has for a while. I don't want to be back at work. But I'm going to see if I can get a few days off next week to clean up the house and have the handyman fix a few things.
