stormdogAbout ten seconds after waking up this morning, I walked across the bed to turn off the cieling ceiling fan and walked directly into it. I have a couple of cuts across the bridge of my nose, and one looks kind of deep. I think I have to go the ER.

Ok, I seem to be ok. It looked a bit worse than it was. I've been patched up with Dermabond and am at work.

I'm lucky. A little lower, like half an inch, and it might have broken my nose. Half an inch down and right or left and it would have got me in an eye.
If the worst thing about it is having to pay the $100 ER copay on my insurance, I can live with that. Kind of sucks, but I can live with it.
How wrong is it that, one of the first things I thought when I looked in the mirror was that I ought to take a picture for Livejournal? I would have if I hadn't been kind of dizzy and disoriented. A picture of the Star Wars band-aids I used to cover the wound would have been amusing too....
