No mail is going to get through to any stormdog.fdns.net address until further notice. I decided to take some of my extra time resulting from my recent loss of employment and use it to install a hard drive I inherited from my dad's system in my server. Somehow, as I was putting the new drive in, the boot sector on the old one ate itself. I also can't find the Win2K cd to reinstall it. All my data is still there, or so it appears poking around in DOS, it just won't boot. *sigh* Does anyone know how to rebuild a Win2K boot sector before I convert the old master to a slave, reinstall windows on the new master, and recopy all my data?
Tomorrow I'm helping a friend move, then, assuming I return home in time (probably about a 50/50 chance) I'm going to start applying with temp agencies. I was actually feeling pretty good earlier today. If it hadn't been such a nice environment I would have found a different job long ago and I'm happy to be done with it in a way. Still, with the passage of time, I've started feeling a little bit lost. The offers of job/resumè help from both
wooisme and her friend Lisa help though. I almost found myself in tears when I was talking to Andrea on the phone and she said that, though she can't be there to hug me, she can still tell me that everything will be ok...
