Praise be.
I finally have both a mail and web server running again so I can do E-bay stuff and get my mail. It's on a very slow (P 120 w/ 32 Meg) system and may be a little sluggish, but now I can work on the real server's problems and not feel terribly rushed.
I also went out and applied for unemployment today. It was actually really easy and pleasant. Who would've expected that from a government institution? I feel a little bad about doing that when I indicated that I probably wouldn't because it will raise Kenzer and Company's unemployment insurance rate, but both Andrea and my mother, not to mention myself, think it was probably the best idea. I applied at the gas station nearby for the oil change job. It's only 10 minutes from my house and I think the vastly shorter commute will probably be worth any job unpleasantness, at least for a good while. Let's hope I get it. In the mean time, I'll keep looking.
Bought two more pairs of Doc Marten's today at S. A. There was an all shoes for $1.00 sale, and one of them was a practically brand new pair of nice 8-eye black leather boots. Lara is already eyeing them with interest. She bought one of my other pairs too. I like not having to pay to ship the things. *smile*
I'm feeling a little more relaxed tonight. Maybe I can try and write
wolfcries back, since when I got my mail server up the first thing that appeared on it was a message from him. I just didn't feel up to writing him back for several reasons...
