stormdogI applied at a few more places today. I was particularly hopeful about applying at Petco which would be kind of fun, but their computer is down and they couldn't print an application. I need to come by tomorrow. I feel like somehow this is all just, in the end, unproductive. Most places don't have any openings, though one grocery store I applied at is looking for part time cashiers. I just still feel like I ought to be doing more. Hopefully I'll get my mail soon about unemployment benefits and figure out how that's going to work.
I did talk to Manpower today. I at least have my application in with them. It seems that I now have to wait another three days until Thursday, when I need to call and arrange a time to take their skills tests. They also say that there is some possible work for someone to do some kind of telephone survey for banks. *shrug* I could deal with that, I suppose.
I did manage to get to the post office and have two packages weighed so I can post them on E-bay. I was going to do the same for all the shoes I'm selling, but then I realized that I'm not sure whether the sizes marked on them are men's sizes or women's sizes. Somehow I had neglected to consider that before, and I'm not sure how to tell the differance apart from by the style of the shoe, which I don't trust myself to guess correctly on. Uh, Andrea? *smile*
Other than that, I'm hopefully heading down toward Chicago sometime soon. Just have a few more things to get settled...
