The people at Roadrunner are a bunch of cheeseplugs. (Pete from Pete and Pete had the most creative insults, didn't he?) Seems no Roadrunner e-mail address accepts port 25 traffic (SMTP traffic) from any address within the Road Runner residential address space, ostensibly to prevent trojan activity and hijacking of mail servers. If you ask me, they just don't want people running servers on their system. Just means I have to send any mail to Road Runner addresses through Hotmail I suppose. That's kind of annoying.
Does anyone have more info on this? The page says that incoming port 25 traffic will be blocked. Does this mean that all incoming port 25 traffic to my server will be blocked (Erf!), or does it just mean that all port 25 traffic from one road runner address to another is blocked? Will someone with a roadrunner address e-mail me and see if I get the mail?
