Dec. 6th, 2009 09:53 pmOn the downside of today, I pulled something in my back today to the point where I almost couldn't pick up my coat. I feel old.
On the plus side, lots of stuff!
posicat and
nova_wolf were up for lunch at the Kenosha pizza buffet whose name I perennially forget. We were hoping to connect with Mechanic Juan for work on Posi's care, but he never got in touch with us. He lost his job in Madison recently because his employer ran out of money to pay him, and I'm a bit concerned about him. But I had a very nice time hanging out with my two friends anyway. Posi and I broke in my new game, Blokus, while Nova watched. It's ok with two players, but was much better with four.
We went to K-mart, Radio Shack, and Big Lots on a random shopping trip. I picked up a quarter inch mono cable for my theremin and can now hook it up to the cheap little amp I snagged at the Mundelein Goodwill for five bucks a while ago.
After Posi and Nova went home, I spent a little while doing scales on the theremin, then went upstairs to play with my guitar. Oooh; I found a bunch of They Might Be Giants chords! I just have to get up a bit more speed on my transitions between chords and I'll be playing a good rendition of James K. Polk! I don't know why I'm so into music lately, but at this rate, I'll have an awesome time at the jam session at MFF next year.
And now, I will get clothes together for work tomorrow and go to bed. G'night!
