It was in my missing laptop bag. We went over to my parents' for dinner last night and the bag was there in front of
farm_cat's piano. So happy!!!
Now I just have to call Canon and ask about troubleshooting and fixing the turning-off problem. I am also going to attach my proximity alarm to the camera strap. I bought it a while ago so I wouldn't lose my wallet, but it was a little big to put in there. It's perfect for my camera though!
Moiracoon's camera showed up a few days ago too. Based on recommendations from Ken Rockwell's site and previous use of a Canon Powershot, I picked out a factory refurbished Powershot A1000 IS.
It's a ten megapixel sensor, so it's got more resolution than my SLR, not that it really needs it. But the image stabilization is a the neatest feature to me. It's primarily her camera of course, but I borrowed it for a few minutes to shoot Ebay pictures. Instead, I put it on top of my tripod and played with the video recording mode. It looks so cute, that tiny little camera on top of the great big tripod!
