Jan. 21st, 2010 11:34 amGraduating high school wasn't that big a deal to me. Apart from relief at not having to go there anymore, I didn't feel any great emotion about it. That probably explains why I got a voice mail this morning from the school saying they couldn't find a record of me either in the year I told them I graduated, or in the year preceeding or following that year. I left a voice mail with my dad asking him if he can tell me what year it was, since I don't seem to know.
Brrr; it's so cold today! I have sweat pants, a thick t-shirt, and a nice soft sweater on. But my desk is in front of a window and on deeply cold, windy days, it seems to come right through onto me.
I think I need to go find something hot for lunch.

Michigan Central Station Canyon

This is certainly one of my favorite pictures I've taken of Michigan Central Station. This is from a sliver of roof sandwiched between the roof of the grand lobby, to the right, and the tower portion of the building, to the left. The west tower stands in the background.
This is from my first trip to the building, and my first real foray into urban ruin exploration and photography, in December of 2004. I think I had
moiracoon's little Toshiba point and shoot camera.
This vantage point offers a good feel for the impressive height of this building. (The wall on the left seems to lean in because the camera optics had some significant barrel distortion. It's not actually falling over. Yet.)
