stormdogCoworker G mentioned my coworker who died this past weekend; he said what a shame it is about her, that he'd just talked to her a few weeks ago. That he wanted to visit her in the hospital, but they weren't allowing visitors.
I asked if he knew what the story was. He said that she had a nervous breakdown because of work. That she was being overworked and being given all these unmeetable deadlines and she couldn't deal with it.
Fuck. People aren't supposed to live this way.
I still feel like I"m not doing nearly as much as I'm supposed to be at this job; like I'm wasting the company's time. But I'm trying really hard not to worry about it. Maybe it'd be good for me if I get fired.

I keep thinking about buying a motorcycle lately. Something small and quiet, but with saddle bags. Something I can take long road trips with on the cheap. I'm scared about the danger of sharing the road with other people while on a motorcycle. The only thing keeping me from really deciding to buy one is that I know from personal experience that you can be as skilled a rider as they come, and some other asshole can kill you just as dead.
