May. 17th, 2010 12:48 pmWork on the Swift is going to wait until next weekend while Juan gets parts together. I was going to try to bike to the train station this morning, but I didn't manage that. Probably because I was up 'till midnight watching Batman: Arkham Asylum being played.
I'm not a huge super-hero person, though I grew up around my dad's huge comic collection and I have a certain appreciation for them. Batman and Spiderman are probably my favorites, but I don't go out of my way to see movies or play games with those characters. I've also learned that, nearly without exception, games based on TV shows, movies, or other forms of media in general, are bad.
Arkham Asylum is an exception to that rule. Damn but that game looks fun to play. I may give it a try tonight, if I'm awake by the time I get home. And Mark Hamill as the joker is so good that it's almost a more defining role for him in my head that Luke Skywalker. Batman looks a little too beefy for me in the closeups, but Joker is spot-on creepy-as-hell.
So anyway, I drove the Neon. And it's low on oil again; I could hear the scraping in the engine half-way to the station. *sighs* Maybe I should walk the five or ten blocks to the gas station for oil instead of driving it over there on the way home. I'm also worried about getting a ticket for the expired plates. I guess it's just as well I didn't renew them since the car is effectively dead, but I pray I can get through just today and tomorrow without getting a ticket.
