Jun. 6th, 2010 10:58 pmThanks to Juan's absolutely invaluable skills and equipment, my Swift is now running. Her name is Perseverance; that seems to suit my life and times these days as well as it suits the process of getting her running.
Would I lose the right to use that name if I call in sick to work tomorrow?
I'd been planning to put the Neon on Craigslist. I figured that since, other than a major oil leak, it was running and driving just fine, I'd put it up for $1000 and let myself get talked down. But when I moved it out of the driveway, it was clearly not running and driving just fine. Juan thinks the oil-soaked timing belt may have slipped a few teeth by the sound of it. I think I'm just going to call Pick 'N Pull for a quote and have them pick him up. He's not drivable that distance. *sighs* Poor old thing.
