stormdogFrom comments (because the allowable length on main posts is too short) on a friends only post in Facebook that I want to share here.
Me: Could someone in (other office) please help out with this virus issue that (user) is having?
Manager: Everyone in (other office) is busy with Malware issues. Connect in and fix her remotely. She needs to be up ASAP.
Me: I'll do what I can once I finish up with the two down users with viruses here plus the two systems I have from remote people who need to be rebuilt, plus being pulled away to set up conference rooms for meetings with the company we're buying.
Seriously: what the hell? <Manager Voice>This person needs to be up ASAP so I'm going to tell an employee five hundred miles away to do it remotely so it will take ten times as long.</Manager Voice> WTF? As coworker G said when I showed him the email chain, if it needs to be done ASAP, how about they *walk over and f**ing FIX it*?
Today is not going well.
