I was nasty-sick through all of yesterday. I was home all day and got absolutely nothing useful done, instead spending about three hours chatting online with
daveqat and
boixboi while trying to configure autoexec.bat and config.sys on my 486/66 Windows 3.11 box to give me enough memory to run the copy of Betrayal at Krondor I picked up a few months ago on a thrifting expedition with
wooisme.
I did finally manage to succeed and I actually think it was worth it. In my opinion it's easily one of the best games of it's time and is still entirely worth a play today. (You can download it from the site I linked to, though the ripped version there is missing one or two things that were on the real CD.)
Plans for today: still recovering. Though I don't have the urge to tear my throat out to stop the pain anymore, I still am not up to doing much more than walking across the room without becoming short of breath. *shrug* It's ok. Another lazy day I suppose. More studying to do. Maybe later I'll write about the movie(s) we watched last night....
Oh, Andrea just reminded me (actuallly just informed me, since I hadn't realized she'd heard from her) that we're helping
thepiercedrose move today. I dunno how much I'll be up to doing, but I'll go help...
