I finally feel, tonight, as though I have a little time to myself. It's an odd feeling and I'm not quite sure what to do with it. *grins*

I started going through photos. I at least got as far as downloading everything off of my cameras. The underground Chicago tour that Lisa and I went on, Devin and Rob's wedding, a class trip to a restored wetlands area, the Pike River Pathway, near the campus, and all my picture-a-day shots that I haven't posted yet.

I'm not sure what this bird is. I thought at first it was fake; it was standing so still!



I liked the way some portions of the path seemed fully surrounded by prairie.

Prairie plants can be really pretty. The earth tone colors aren't flashy, but they're really appealing in rows and splashes along the river.



A bridge at one end of the park spans fields of wildflowers as well as the small river.



One student brought her little dog who accompanied us on the trip. He was quite popular!
