stormdog: (Tawas dog)

I have some kind of sad thoughts about my experience of faceblindness to write about. But I'll do that once I'm done studying for my map use exam tomorrow and rewriting the intro and conclusion for my presentation which needs to be to our discussant by Saturday.

Instead, I'll make another quick bike related post of the sort many of you are probably getting tired of, then be off to school stuff.

I'm waffling between the pogies I linked to, and these from Dogwood Designs:
These are made by folks in Alaska, who know about cold. Right [livejournal.com profile] lisagems? They're also the only ones that have a solidly stated temperature range they're good for. Down to fifteen below for these, and even colder for their higher-end ones. I think the regular ones will do me. I don't know that even I would want to ride in weather colder than 15 below, and we don't get a lot of it here in Wisconsin.

I left school late tonight because I was at a presentation on GMO plants that ran until eight. I had a really nice ride home tonight. Even though it was really windy, I felt largely comfortable. I'm still kind of amazed at how warm I am in just a heavy flannel on my torso! The bike was rolling really smoothly, the new brake pads are working really well, downtown lakeside Kenosha at night was peaceful and pretty...things seemed really in tune.
