stormdogTim and I were running late to get the train to Chicago. A combination of fast driving and failing to notice reduction of speed limit along Sheridan Road at the Illinois border led to me getting a speeding ticket this morning, my first in at least five or six years. It's left me feeling stressy, and rather money-conscious, and I just don't feel like I'm up to going down to Chicago, or that I'd be good company. (Though not making it to Posi's birthday and visiting with him and everybody *also* makes me stressy and feel like I'm letting him down. Can't win, I guess.)
I'm responding by eating some of the half-price post-Christmas yummy mint cookies I got at Walgreens yesterday and not logging them in Fitbit. Take that, bad mood!
In the meantime, I started going through more of my stuff last night that I need to get rid of. Here's a four-piece drum kit with a floor drum, a standing tom, two mounted toms, and a snare. The toms are missing their resonant heads and hardware, as they were when I bought them. Also included are some random cymbals with no stands, and a high-hat stand with no cymbals. There's no stand for the snare, I'm afraid. I'd like $50 for all of it. I'm going to put it on Craigslist soon, so let me know if you're interested. Please ignore other random basement crap; it's not for sale.
