I've decided I need a new server to play with so I can get some hands on experience with a lot of the stuff that I'm learning theory about in school. Theory is good, but without putting into practice at least a little bit, I think it will probably slip out of my brain eventually.
I was bidding on a nice Dual PIII Xeon 1Ghz server on ebay earlier today (with Andrea being wonderfully helpful as my proxy). Unfortunately, I missed out on it. It's too bad too, cause it went for only about a hundred and eighty, which I think was a pretty good deal even with no hardrives (got that covered) or memory. Oh well. I'm just going to have to keep my eye out for another one. (If anybody happens to stumble on a good deal for something on that order, do let me know; pretty please?)
I paid the rest of my tuition today. It was 500 more than I remembered, but I'm just going to cover it out of savings and replenish the funds as I go. That's what savings are for, really. Once again, thanks to the Evil Bob for financing my education.
Insert break here during which Andrea and I went out hunting for wedding bands and, having not found any, got food instead which is also pretty good.
It's late, I'm tired, and I don't want to go to my resume writing/interview preperation classes tomorrow. Normally my classes go two weeks on and one week off, but this week is an exception for two days. S'ok. At least that way I get to give my test results to Tara at New Horizons and get started on my resume so I can get into their job placement pool (Note to self: bring test results to Tara tomorrow. That would be helpful). Yay IT job! I just wish I were able to see more of my beloved.
I should probably go study and fill out little index cards to study while at work mucking with cell phones, but today being so hot and my tummy being stuffed, I just feel lethargic. I almost feel like just going to bed...
