May. 27th, 2014 09:53 pmTo my brother, who borrowed my car today: "You must have felt really cool today driving a car with that many antennas."
His response: "That isn't the word I'd choose."
Does anybody know about whether you can read a drive formatted under Windows 7 on a Windows XP machine? I'm trying to back up data from my sweetie Lisa's crashed system, and XP doesn't know what kind of partition it is and says it's unformatted space. I found one person who says it might be an issue with the USB drive adapter, but I don't have another one to try. I guess I could just shut my desktop down and add it as a secondary internal drive. If my brother's Windows 7 machine won't read it, I might go down that road.
I disassembled, cleaned, and reinstalled the rear brake on my bike today. I feel competent! Hey bike folks: what kind of lubes do you use on your bike and where? I don't know these things yet. Anyway, my rides to and from school were so nice today, even in the rain on the way home. Yay!
I'm playing with the idea of alternating my manga purchases (as a reminder, my "Biking for Belldandy" program involves buying one volume of Oh My Goddess manga for each five days I commute to school) with a few other things. I was thinking that I'd like to replace a few things that I think are still at my ex's place, but never got found. My Last Unicorn soundtrack for instance. I'd really like to have that CD again. But compared to $4 a pop for manga, things like that are expensive. *sighs* One of these days I'll have it again.
