Sleep Needs
Jul. 29th, 2014 09:53 amAlso, it's funny that this should come across my feed here just as I've been talking about a need to get more sleep.

This summary of a study on the effects of three different amounts of sleep over the long term. It suggests that getting only 6 hours of sleep over an 'extended period' results in cognitive impairment similar to having a .1 percent blood alcohol level. I would guess that I've averaged 6 to 7 hours of sleep for quite some time.
I *have* gone to bed by 11:15 for two days now. While that's still less than 8 hours of sleep since I get up at 7 and I don't fall asleep instantly, I think I'm feeling generally, mentally, better.
