This evening, my family (along with family friend Dwarf) took my brother T and his boyfriend out for sushi here in Kenosha at Soon's. It makes me happy to see how great a time the two of them have had over the last few days. I'm definitely going to get some pictures of the two of them together being cute.
I had a novel experience at dinner. It was the first time that I've eaten enough wasabi to cause a nosebleed. I didn't realize that was possible. It concerns me slightly, but the wonderful floaty feeling of pain endorphines seems worth it.
I just spent an hour or so showing some of my photos to T and S as the rest of my family has watched Doctor Who. Now that the two of them have gone upstairs, maybe I'll do some more looking at grad schools. I want to be around and feel part of the family stuff, but I'm not that interested in watching the show.
Another fun exchange I should mention from yesterday. I was picking Lisa up at the train station when a man called out to me. After his second attempt he got my attention and asked "Are you a cab?"
"No, sorry."
"Oh, I saw the antennas."
"No," said Lisa, "he's just a geek!"
