At Bristol Faire
Sep. 4th, 2014 10:43 pmA quick post before bed. Courtesy of Lisa and her cell phone, here's a picture of me from Bristol shire this past weekend!

It's been three or four years since I've been to faire, and at this point the vest I'm wearing was absolutely the only top that was even passably the right size for me. The fantastic velvet tights (made by the skillful Ginger of Faire Paire!) still fit me though, as do my wonderful leather boots from Son of Sandlar. In fact, the boots actually fit me better than they used to; I think my feet are a touch smaller and they no longer rub in one spot where they once did. I do wish this picture showed them off a little better.
Lisa was griginally going to go shirt shopping with me first thing, but I soon decided I was ok with just the vest. I might even wear this outfit to a convention or two in the future, if I can finally get back to some of them again.
Oh, and here's a link to Faire Paire's Facebook page. I worked for Ginger, the owner, for a season at Michigan Ren Faire. She's a very skilled seamstress and a really nice person, and her products are fantastic. As well as tights, she makes dresses, bike shorts, and various things. And, as I told so many patrons at the booth, they are machine washable!
