A short note before I hopefully get to faire and stuff tomorrow.
One:
wooisme's birthday is this Thursday! She and I are going to a small brewpub called Dragonmead (www.dragonmead.com) to celebrate. For those who don't know the place, I might describe is as a bar for people who don't like bars. This explains why I love the place. It's very relaxed and has a vaguely ren faire decor. And hey, there's 802.11b wireless. They don't serve much food beyond pretzels but welcome carry-ins and deliveries. Andrea and I are going to bring a couple of games yet to be announced and we would love to have your company! If you're interested, leave a comment and I'll give you directions. Or just show up. Either way is cool with us. I hope we get to see some of our local friends there.
Two: I printed out about 40 career placement agencies from smartpages.com today and got through phone calls to the first half of them. Result, I have two places I'm going to go visit and talk to someone at (one of them tomorrow) and a third who I'm corresponding via e-mail with. (Nothing there right now, he'll be in touch. I hope it's not a blow-off.) I'm also considering taking my first MCSA test, 70-210 very soon, possibly tomorrow or Wednesday. Wish me luck!
Andrea and I, after a long time of having not enough free moments to really go out and do anything went thrifting today (there was a big stack of videodiscs that I wish I could buy all of; it's so depressing to think that they'll probably be thrown out). Then we went to Always Amazing (a strange closeout store where they always have even stranger Japanese merchandise like the Tare Panda CD cases I now posses), and then to a coney place for dinner (where I consumed too much sugar in the form of a hot fudge sundae, explaining my current mood). It's been way too long since I got to go out with her like that and it just made me feel so good after spending a while worrying today about silly job stuff. I love her...
