The Joy of Geographical Analysis!

After three years of all this qualitative anthropology stuff, my reading for tomorrow's session of Introduction to GIS Analysis includes a chapter that's essentially a crash course in relational database operations and use. It's funny; when I was working in IT, I often played with the idea of learning to manage databases. It makes me laugh that I'm digging into it as part of an undergraduate career in the humanities. (I suspect this will make Danae happy though!)
I walked over to my brother the comp sci major's room and said "Hey, I think I got one of your textbooks by mistake!"
"No," he replied after I showed it to him, "I'm not doing relational databases. Yet."
