Wow. If I'm going to be doing much more transcription, I need a pair of comfy headphones that fit entirely around my ears. Like those old studio style ones. I don't need audiophile gear; just something comfortable that I can hear voice with. Any suggestions for somebody with a big head?
I interviewed my mother today about public space for a class paper. I'm not sure why I was intimidated by the process. Probably overthinking, Danae said. I actually really enjoyed it once I started. I've felt a little awkward at the two interviews I've done on the Pike Creek oral history project I'm working on, but I expect it'll feel more natural over time. Unstructured interviewing is a methodology I hope to be using a lot, so it's good to be getting my feet wet.
