Oh my god oh my god oh my god I've been saying for years I should make a board game about copper mining inspired by the Keweenaw Peninsula and *SOMEONE DID*! In fact, he's the son of the author of several books on the topic (one of which I read and really enjoyed), a professor at Michigan Tech.
And it's not a light-weight throwaway either. It looks big and dense and chock full of fiddly bits. And a quick perusal of reviews makes it sound like this is actually, surprisingly, a really good game!
I'm having a *huge* geek moment here! I may need to buy this!
